“The mind is the last to know.”
— Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen

Sometimes we understand something intellectually long before it feels true emotionally or physically. You may know a relationship was painful, understand where your patterns come from, or deeply want change — and still find yourself shutting down, overextending, bracing, disconnecting, or repeating familiar relational dynamics. While insight can be important, healing often requires experiences that reach beyond words alone.

Relational Somatic Healing (RSH) is a body-based and relational approach to therapy that cultivates deeper awareness of how experiences, emotions, and patterns of protection are held in the body and nervous system. By slowing down and bringing gentle attention to sensation, movement, emotion, breath, and relationship, Relational Somatic Healing can help create new experiences of safety, connection, and regulation for those who experienced wounding in early caregiver relationships.

I approach this work with warmth, curiosity and respect for the complexity of each person’s history, boundaries, and lived experience. Together, we work toward creating greater connection, emotional flexibility, embodied awareness, and a felt sense of safety and trust within yourself and your relationships.

My orientation to somatic therapy is grounded in interpersonal neurobiology, attachment theory, a psychodynamic lens and advanced training in Relational Somatic Healing.
